Something I've been thinking about:
There are a few different ways - and reasons - for finding fault and error. One can search for proof of fault and error in order to prove someone else, or some other way of thinking, wrong.
Or, one can keep an eye out for fault and error in order to find out - further expose and reveal - the TRUTH.
There is a big difference between the two.
What is my focus? Exposing error in others? Or searching for HIS Truth?
What are your thoughts on this? Does this issue change or fluctuate depending upon whom one is dealing with (believers versus unbelievers) ?

This is a great question, Amanda. I'm going to have to ponder it more.
At first glance I think it has more to do with my relationship with the person than it has to do with their specific belief system. All of us can ask good questions.
I think my motivation is a mix between seeking the truth and finding fault in those that I'm frustrated with.
That's a really good point. When we really want to know God's answers, we might expose error, but it's for a good reason. On the other hand, sometimes we can expose error without really wanting changed hearts ourselves. Exposing error can always be helpful for someone, but it's only helpful for the exposer if it's done in a good spirit.
